1 – Create quality content
Believe me, creating quality content will make all the difference in your online business .
Content is the basis of your blog or YouTube channel or whatever you want, so quality should always come first.
There are thousands of websites that produce low quality content and fill them with affiliate links to try to sell.
2 – Balance Value with Ads
Have you ever seen that website that has more ad banners and product links than content? This causes the visitor to have a bad experience, simply because the content does not add value, is not useful or convincing.
They just want to push products without delivering anything useful.
This is the main mistake of those who only think about making money online , they forget about their audience.
But you need to think the other way around, focus on providing value to your audience, creating content that is very valuable to them, something that many would sell, you will deliver for free.
There are several ways to deliver value and still sell, an example of this is writing a review in video or post format, and not just thinking about selling.
Creating comparisons between services is an excellent way, showing the pros and cons of tools, or creating a list of the best, unboxing equipment and tools, showing the best way to use the tool, etc.
There are countless ways to do something good and still deliver value. You can create comparison charts, “best of” lists, unboxing videos , and more.
Take YouTube for example, you will find several high-quality channels that review products and services, create product lists and make offers, teach something about a certain tool.
Instead of just focusing on “how to make a sale,” provide valuable information that your competitors are likely selling or hiding and help readers make a more informed purchasing decision.
Many of your readers just want an honest opinion about the product or service, to know whether or not it is the best product for them, so they can make a decision.
3 – Boost your online visibility via social media
Social media is everything when it comes to promoting your affiliate marketing campaign.
A well-designed action here can make your content go viral and attract thousands of visitors and new followers who will get to know your work.
Many think that they just need to create the blog, generate quality content and then do the SEO , sit back and wait. Nah, not anymore!
These actions are important, yes! Now to speed up the process and reach more people, you need to make the most of social media to increase your results.
Know that social networks can generate a boom in your publicity and attract thousands with small actions.
Nowadays, people spend a lot of time on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, among others, this creates a huge potential to promote and earn money with affiliate marketing.
Have a guaranteed presence in those where your audience is most present, and generate quality content for them, always try to increase engagement, create your community, interact whenever possible.
4 – Show Up
Once you’ve done this, now it’s time to share your content with your followers to try and drive them to your blog.
Make a plan and have paid campaigns to promote, this will help you reach many more people. However, never forget not to just share content for sales so as not to scare them away.
Try to follow the best in your market and see how they do it, see who is doing a great job of promoting affiliate content on social media, following some is always a good option to learn and get ideas. See how they post and share.
5 – Be authentic
You want to gain the trust and attention of your audience, so be authentic!
Authenticity is fundamental and crucial for you to be successful with affiliate marketing.
To sell a lot as an affiliate you will need this, in addition to making your audience part of your community, your family.
And without trust it is very difficult to achieve this, it is an important factor in influencing people’s purchasing decisions, after all, no one buys from someone we don’t trust.
Furthermore, the more people trust your opinions, the more loyal they will become.
All of this will help build a loyal community of people who look to you to buy whatever you recommend.
One thing that I consider a differentiator is having transparency in what you do, showing that the links are affiliate links, whether in the description or even in a video. Be sincere when giving an opinion, be impartial about what you say when promoting.
If, for example, a product has a flaw or lacks a feature, don’t forget to mention it, just because the product isn’t perfect doesn’t mean it isn’t useful, show its usefulness.
Lose the fear, for example, of saying that it has an excellent cost-benefit ratio, but does not have the functions of the competitor.
Be careful when getting paid to write about products too, even if you are being paid to write a review, it is essential that you are honest. This will make you more trustworthy.
6 – Don’t just stick with one product or affiliate program
Know that there are many affiliate platforms , and many products. I always like to work with products that have similar ones (for example, if you are selling a course on Instagram , see if there are other good ones on the platforms, this is useful if you want to change products during sales, having an alternative will avoid wasting time disclosure if the producer for some reason stops selling it) or more than 2 or 3 in the same category. For example, if you are going to recommend website hosting, have at least 3 or more to do.
Furthermore, there are variations, there are products that pay on a recurring basis, others only for the initial sale. Or there are producers who UpSell with other products and yet you also receive the commission.
See which way is best for you and do tests, it’s always good to test products, see which ones sell more than others.
Don’t be impressed if someone comes and says “This product is selling a lot, do you want to promote it? ”
Many times what works for an Affiliate does not necessarily work for you.
Before spending on paid campaigns, I recommend carrying out tests, analyzing the product and all the information carefully, looking at the competitors and then starting to sell.
It’s always a good idea to make a spreadsheet with the main products you want to sell, analyze points such as the sales page, support, among other information.
In Affiliate Marketing, it is important to know how to choose a good product not just for you to sell, but for your audience and that brings good profitability
7 – Be patient with the results!
This is where most people get lost and give up. I saw a lot of people (really a lot) who started in affiliate marketing and only stayed for a few months, sometimes a few days and gave up.
They simply created the project and thought that they would make sales immediately, that the results would come easily and simply.
It is very important to remember that Affiliate Marketing, like other online and physical businesses, can take time to generate revenue.
The result is proportional to how hard you work, but it may still take a few months to start to appear more effectively.
So, my advice is don’t give up just because the results didn’t come in the first week or month, if sales weren’t enough at the beginning, it’s a sign that you need to improve your actions.
Instead, continue and work hard, qualify and take a good affiliate course, put everything you’ve learned into practice.
You can always improve something further, make the content more attractive, generate more value. Test and see what the best strategy is for your online business, test products as mentioned before until you find the ideal point.
